This Wednesday (17), Corinthians and Vasco faced each other in the first match of the Copa do Brasil final. The match was marred by technical problems during Globo’s broadcast. The narration volume turned down and Eduardo Moreno quickly took over, replacing the incumbent Everaldo Marques.
The same thing happened on SporTV, a closed channel of the Globo group. Márcio Meneghini replaced Paulo Andrade.
The technical error occurred two minutes into the second half and everything returned to normal after a few moments.
When it comes to play, Vasco da Gama has been superior to Corinthians, even playing away in the Copa do Brasil. There were 12 proposals from Vasco, compared to seven from Black and White. Regardless, both teams were denied goals in the match. There was a lack of skill in the final third and it was 0-0.
The 2025 Brazilian Cup decided at the Maracanã
The draw left everything open for the second leg, which will take place at a packed Maracanã. All tickets have been sold and Vasco fans will be there in large numbers. The decision is scheduled for Sunday (21), at 6 p.m.
The tournament final marks the end of the Brazilian football season. Whoever lifts the cup guarantees a direct place in the next Conmebol Libertadores and joins Flamengo, Palmeiras, Cruzeiro, Mirassol and Fluminense.
