Literary Festival of the Parties (FLOP). It starts on Wednesday (19) and lasts until the 30th in Flops, in Madureira. The program includes talks, workshops, screenings and film screenings by British director Steve McQueen (from “12 Years a Slave,” winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture). At the opening, in Viadoto di Madureira, a table with Conceição Evaristo and Mireille Fanon (8:30 p.m.) and a performance by Jonathan Fair and Trio de Cordas (10:45 p.m.).

Botikar Rio. The second edition of the gastronomic festival bringing together 40 bars in Rio kicked off yesterday. Each one will receive a competing snack under the slogan “Art with Your Hands” (between R$20 and R$45), which will be evaluated by the audience and judges. Among the debut venues are Bar Brasil (Lapa); Pracarense (Leblon); Dois de Fevereiro (Health); Botica (Botafogo); grilled fish (leblon); Soro Pafo (Lapa) joined the champion of the first edition, Par do Momo (Tijuca); Baixala (Copacabana) and more. Until December 14th.
On fire in bronze. Award-winning Chef Felipe Bruns prepares cuts of meat and seafood on the grill, plus snacks and side dishes that are served complimentary with drinks, beer, wine and sparkling wine.
