In this edition of the program Noblat Blá Blá, with the main topics of national politics, the decline of the right in the debate on public security in Congress and the stability of the approval of the Lula government, according to the latest poll conducted by Quaest.
Another retreat from Guilherme Derrite’s PL Antifaction
Dirret was called in to report on the anti-factional proposal, but he introduced radical changes, forcing the federal government and the Bolsonarians themselves to oppose it.
The result was another change in the text and a postponement of the vote by Chamber President Hugo Motta.
Dirit’s controversial choice of Mota was a source of tension between the government and the opposition: it was seen as a sign of the president’s departure from Lula.
Lula’s stability and public security agenda
The Quaest poll, released on Wednesday (12), indicated a stability scenario in the assessment of Lula’s government. This is the first survey after the police operation that ended in the killing of 121 people and caused friction between Planalto and the government of Rio de Janeiro.
In the field of public security, the performance of the Lula government is considered regular at 36% (was 32% in March), negative at 34% (was 38%), and positive at 26% (was 25%).
Quest shows that the operation was approved by 67% of Brazilians, a figure slightly higher than the 64% found in the poll conducted only with Rio de Janeiro residents shortly after the police action. Also, 67% of interviewees realize that there was no exaggeration in the force used by agents, compared to 29% who believe otherwise.
The far-right crisis and Eduardo Bolsonaro
Eduardo Bolsonaro denied in a video clip that there was a division in the right, and said that he was pressuring state governors for amnesty.
Eduardo continues to insist on reducing the events of January 8 to “just a demonstration of old ladies” and once again defends an amnesty that benefits him and his father, the former president.
There was mention of fighting with the governor of Mato Grosso, Mauro Mendes.
It’s getting complicated for Donald Trump
The program ended by referring to the legal problems facing Donald Trump in the United States, highlighting leaked emails linking him to the Jeffrey Epstein case and allegations of sexual crimes.
