Doorman Fábio Gleidson, 40, woke up around 5:10 a.m. this Friday (19/12) to calls for help near his home in Setor P Sul, Ceilândia (DF). When he checked what happened, he came across a crater on the sidewalk with two brothers lying inside.
During the first attempt to help, the door remained open and Fábio’s two pit bull dogs ended up in the hole with the people.
“Our only concern was to try to help,” Fábio said. The pair of brothers seemed to be doing well. The dogs were not seriously injured either. “Thank goodness the dogs are okay too.”

The doorman even thought about starting the rescue with the neighbors, but he thought better of it. “We took the ladder, there was a man with a rope, but we thought it was better to wait for the fireman.”
Firefighters (CBMDF) were called and arrived approximately 15 minutes later. One of the victims left on a stretcher, while the other left the scene on foot. Both were dirty, but conscious.
Fábio said there had been no prior warning about the risk on site. “Yesterday was normal,” he said.

He said the advice he received was to find a mason to remove the roof and railing, clean the area and then contact the responsible agencies to use machinery.
According to the resident, Civil Defense and the Environmental Sanitation Company of the Federal District (Caesb) were on site to assess the situation, and there is also concern about the risk of a pole falling near the residence.
Contacted, the Caesb indicated that it had sent teams to the site as soon as it was called. The Company’s technicians strive to carry out all necessary repairs as quickly as possible.
