Even after the Court’s decision, businessman and influencer Pablo Marçal (featured photo, left) has still not paid compensation of around 2 million reais for the work accident that claimed the life of audiovisual technician Celso Guimarães Silva (featured photo, right). The worker died in June 2023, while working in a workshop in Marçal and the legal proceedings were closed a few months ago.
The decision was unanimously confirmed in October by the second chamber of the Regional Labor Court of the 2nd region (TRT-2), which rejected the appeal presented by the company Marçal Participações Ltda. However, more than two years after the death and months after the end of the legal proceedings, the family has still not received the expected compensation.
As the report reveals, since the accident, which occurred in 2023, the family has experienced financial and emotional difficulties. The sentence aimed to compensate for the loss of income and moral damage caused by the death of Celso Guimarães.
Searched by Metropolisesthe businessman’s defense has not yet commented on the subject. The space remains open for demonstrations.

When he was hospitalized shortly after the accident, Celso recorded a video explaining the accident. He said he climbed a four-metre, 80-centimetre ladder to install a pipe into a structure at the site.
“I put the tube aside, I got a 220 volt electric shock, I fell down the stairs and all I remember is that afterwards I was in the hospital. Now I have pain all over my side, my ribs, my spine compromised, that’s it,” the victim reported.
Celso remained hospitalized at the Barueri Municipal Hospital until Wednesday, June 28, when he died.
