A serious accident involving a truck and a minibus left five dead and four injured on the BR-386, in Carazinho, Rio Grande do Sul.
The collision occurred around 11 p.m. this Friday (19/12) at km 184 of the highway. The minibus belonged to the Health Service of the municipality of Constantina (RS).
Preliminary information indicates that all of the victims were in this vehicle. Carazinho firefighters reported that eight people were on board the minibus. The dead were an elderly couple, a man and a child, as well as the driver.
Traffic on the damaged section was reopened at 4:52 a.m., after almost six hours of total closure.
The injured were transported to the Carazinho Clinics Hospital. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
