The Civil Guard of León dealt a heavy blow to drug trafficking in the province with the arrest of a couple, man and woman, and with it the dismantling of two floors of those who entered and exited and who served as points … of drugs.
Thanks to the so-called “Dornajo” operation, carried out by the Organized Crime Fighting Team (EDOA) of the UOPJ and which had been working since July, these two people were located, dedicated to the trafficking and distribution of cocaine and MDMA in the province of León, particularly in the Sahagún region.
The observation identified various entries and searches in homes and closed places, and various narcotic substances were seized there, as well as cash, mobile phones and telephone cards.
According to Benemérita in a press release, “Inmates used one of the houses as a drug ‘daycare’.from where the main ringleader and his partner daily transported the aforementioned substance already prepared in doses for retail sale. This was distributed mainly in the municipality of Sahagún.
After months of investigation, on the morning of this Tuesday, December 16, a major police force was put in place with the support of specialized dogs to arrest these people.
Among the drugs found in the apartments, the discovery of 1.3 kg of cocaine and 210 grams of MDMA. They also seized 97 one-gram doses already prepared for sale, 18,000 euros in banknotes of all types and convincing evidence of this criminal typology such as precision scales which are used for weighing before distribution, as well as containers and cuttings for packaging the doses.
The detainees, as well as the procedures carried out and the effects seized, were made available to the civil and investigation section of the Sahagún District Court No. 1 (León).
The investigation remains open in case other people are involved in the criminal act and further arrests are not excluded.
