THE Association of Cinema Screenwriters of Andalusia -Asecan- This afternoon he delivered the 38 Asecan Prize for Andalusian Cinema at the Royal Artillery Factory of Sevillean environment which this year hosted the traditional prizes which reward the work … and Andalusian audiovisual works each year.
With the sponsorship of Seville City Hall, the collaboration of the SGAE Foundation, the AISGE Foundation and Cibeles Triana; and the support of EGEDA, Black Vega and Agape Catering, the Asecan Awards brought together the sector for a lunch, now traditional at Christmas, during which the 2025 film harvest was celebrated.
This year the awards ceremony had as protagonist the Sevillian filmmaker Pilar Távorawho received the Asecan Honorary Prize from the hands of the president of Asecan, Lourdes Palacios, and the vice-president Miguel Ángel Parra, a distinction that recognizes her long career as one of the most singular, coherent and committed creators of Andalusian audiovisual.
The Asecan Film Prize was awarded to ‘Blows’ of Rafael Cobos for Vaca Films and Grupo Tranquilo PC, which also collected Asecan Direction Novel. Likewise, the Asecan Prize for Cinematographic Achievement was awarded ex-Aqueo to Alberto Rodriguez by ‘The Tigers’ and Fernando Franco for ” Basement “.

The documentary “A free man” of Laura Hojman for summer movies It is another of the titles with the greatest number of awardswinning the Asecan Non-Fiction, the Asecan Film Script for Laura Hojman and María D. Valderrama, and the Asecan Original Music for Elena Córdoba (Pagan Bride).

In this edition of the ASECAN Awards, a total of 331 applications were received, including 176 for individual categories and 127 for collective works, highlighting among the latter 17 feature-length fiction films, 27 feature-length documentaries and 61 short films.
