“Getting into the ring means continuing to find meaning in my life”

Many criticize the mixing of boxing with YouTubers, but Martínez thinks otherwise. He believes this helps promote the sport. “I think it’s great that they chose boxing. If they had chosen another sport, people wouldn’t be talking about it, the four of us would be talking like we always do,” he said.

In his opinion, the sport will grow thanks to young boys watching their idols fight: “Next Monday, many thousands of people will go to a boxing gym because they saw their favorite streamer.”

He also congratulated the amateur participants such as Tomás Mazza (fitness and weights influencer) and Gero Arias (calisthenics and barbells influencer) on their preparation: “There are people who do it very well, like Tomi Mazza or Gero Arias. Physically they are both very strong.”

The event will be broadcast online (Kick channel) and on Telefe. In addition to Maravilla, the grandchildren of Carlos Monzón and Ringo Bonavena, two historical legends of Argentine boxing, will also fight.
