An investigation into drug trafficking led to two simultaneous raids in the early hours of December 18, one in the heart of the urban area of La Plata and another in the city of Punta Lara, where a 32-year-old woman was arrested and a significant amount of narcotics was seized.
The procedure was carried out by the Superintendence of Investigations into Illegal Drug Trafficking, La Plata Delegation, with the intervention of UFI No. 18, led by Prosecutor Hugo Tesón, and Guarantee Court No. 5, led by Judge Marcela Inés Garmendia, of the Judicial Department of La Plata.
The case was officially launched on November 7 after retail sales of drugs, including synthetic substances, were uncovered via social networks. According to the investigation, the activity was conducted only on Fridays and Saturdays in reduced time slots from an apartment on 44th Street between 4th and 5th Streets in the central area of La Plata.
As part of the investigation, covert surveillance as well as film and photography were carried out, and two “pre-purchaser” procedures were carried out, which made it possible to seize crystal and ecstasy pills. These procedures allowed the alleged perpetrator to be identified, a woman from the province of Neuquén who settled in La Plata to study.
The woman who was arrested was the owner of the apartment that was searched and only visited the apartment on days when she made sales. He later moved to a house in the Villa del Plata neighborhood of Punta Lara, where he lived with his partner.
The following were kidnapped during the raids:
-72.5 grams of marijuana
-95.8 grams of “crystal”
-399 Ecstasy pills, with different logos
-4 grams of chick
-hallucinogenic mushrooms
– $113,324 in cash
-two mobile phones,
-a precision scale,
– Ziploc bags, nylon cutouts and notes of interest to the matter.
The woman was arrested and brought to justice while the investigation continues to determine possible connections and additional responsibilities.
