This week luck was on the side of a young 19 year old reader. Richard Torres, a freshman in the UNLP Faculty of Economics, was the sole winner of the Super Cartonazo, taking home the 4 million pesos that the pot contained.
That’s why a new round started on Thursday with the delivery of the card, which is included free of charge in the printed edition of the EL DIA newspaper. And from Friday the numbers will be published for control and on Tuesday it will be decided whether there will be a new winner or whether another million will be accumulated.
TODAY’S NUMBERS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2025

The last winner
Torres, a resident of the city of Altos de San Lorenzo, presented himself with the winning card this Tuesday and credited the 15 correct answers that allowed him to win the jackpot. According to him, the game has almost become a tradition in his family: it is his mother, 39 years old, who usually buys the newspaper on Thursdays to receive the box, while everyone takes care of it after tracking the numbers.
“My mother is the one who plays and I test the numbers that come up,” explained Richard, who has two brothers, emphasizing the family nature of the Super Cartonazo. Although the prize was still in his name, he assured that the use of the money had already been discussed behind closed doors. “It’s a family price. I have a few debts, like the motorbike, so it will help me a lot. I also want to buy a helmet and then we’ll see,” he commented.
How to play Cartonazo
The Super Cartonazo begins every Thursday with the box that comes with the printed edition of EL DIA. From Friday to the following Tuesday, participants must follow the numbers published daily both in the newspaper and on eldia.com. Ten numbers from 00 to 89 are broadcast daily.
The goal is to collect the 15 numbers listed on the coupon. The crucial time is Tuesday when the fifth and final weekly batch is released. Whoever manages to fill out the card must present the winning coupon at the EL DIA offices, Diagonal 80 No. 815, before 5:00 p.m.
